I began my career in the furniture industry, learning the entire process of building upholstered products from start to finish. I assembled furniture, sanded components, upholstered finished pieces, and drafted fabric and assembly patterns. These hands-on experiences gave me a deep, practical understanding of the craftsmanship behind quality upholstery—knowledge that continues to guide my work today.
Besides early industry experience, I earned an AutoCAD Certificate (VUJC), a bachelor’s degree in human resources (Oakland City University), and an MBA (University of Southern Indiana). I also served nine years in the Army National Guard before going on active duty in 1997. I proudly served for 25 years until retiring from the military in 2012, gaining leadership, discipline, and problem-solving skills that I carry into every project.
After retiring from active duty, I built a diverse second career as a Fleet Manager, Operations Manager, Senior Talent Sourcing Specialist, and in Veteran Affairs, later serving within the Department of Defense until retiring again in 2025. Upholstery has mostly been a side business—now a full-time focus where I combine craftsmanship, experience, and customer care to deliver high-quality upholstery services.
